Tania Katz -- Jazz, Rock, Folk, Blues, Pop, Theory, Improvisation

Tania received her Bachelor of Music in Jazz and American Improvised Music Performance from Metropolitan State University. She is an affiliate faculty member at MSU Denver and teaches private jazz voice lessons and ensembles. She performs regularly with her two bands, Shark Truce and Ossiculum, and she performs and records frequently with some of Denver’s best musicians. Her passions are jazz and rock, but she also has extensive training and experience in folk, blues, pop, classical, music theatre, and bluegrass. Tania believes that an education rooted in music theory is necessary to build a firm foundation for a successful musical future. She teaches her students through theory, sight reading, ear training, improvisation, technique, composition, and basic piano skills. Tania believes that music lessons are supposed to be a FUN way to help you find your own unique sound.

Our voice faculty includes professionals experienced in all vocal styles and also voice development and songwriting.  Our voice instructors work with students from 12 years old to adult.

We have beautiful instruments for accompaniment and with a Knabe grand piano in the recital hall and Young Chang and Samick upright pianos in the vocal studios.

Andrew Adams -- Opera, Lieder, Choral Director, Cabaret & Broadway,

                               Music Theater

Andrew Adams has taught privately in the New York and Denver metro areas since 2000. Mr. Adams’ vocal instruction is breath-centered, and is focused on discovering and developing the unique features of a student’s voice, working to build a technique that serves the student’s artistry. His students are at work in opera and musical theater throughout the country.  With the Los Angeles Master Chorale and the Westminster Choir, he performed frequently with the New York Philharmonic, Philadelphia Orchestra, Vienna Philharmonic, Los Angeles Philharmonic and others under Zubin Mehta, Riccardo Muti, Carlo Maria Giulini, Kurt Masur, Wolfgang Sawallisch, Robert Shaw, Joseph Flummerfelt, and Roger Wagner.  Andrew holds degrees from New York’s Wagner College graduate degrees from Westminster Choir College (Princeton, NJ). and He is a published composer/arranger.


From small meetings and parties to large scale events -- soloists to 12-piece bands - playing classical, jazz, and variety dance music -- Sure Thing Entertainment has the right mix for any event.
